Obituary of Ronald Burt Klatt

Klatt, Ronald “Ron” D. Fairgrove, Michigan Ronald, age 77, died Thursday, June 9, 2022 and was born March 28, 1945 in Akron, Michigan to the late August and Katherine (Schenider) Klatt. He was a 1963 graduate of Akron-Fairgrove High School, and worked at Saginaw Steering Gear for 30 years. He married the love of his life Ann (Miller) Klatt on February 20, 1965, and together they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Ron enjoyed everyday of his life, and he will be remembered for his quiet, kind, and generous nature which brought joy to countless people over the years. Many will remember Ron for always lending a helping hand with any project, from repairing and fixing pool sticks, to painting cars and making good old home cooked meals that included his “Famous” bread. Ron is survived by his wife; two sons, Mark (Stacy) Klatt of Oregon, Scott (Michelle) Klatt of Montana; four grandchildren, Juniper, Paul (Kate), Sam and Melissa Klatt; brother, William “Buck” (Dee Centala) Klatt; four sisters, Emma Krause, Elsie Roth, Katie Falkenhagen, and Betty (Mary Earle) Klatt; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Joyce Klatt, Sandy (Mike) Schofield, and Carl (Barbara) Miller. He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews as well as many close cousins. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Klatt, Gus “Jr.” Klatt and sisters Margaret Fiorito and Helen Schafer. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church, 5040 Maple Street, Fairgrove, Michigan. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
