Obituary of Jay Thomas Pickvet

Jay Thomas Pickvet “Tom, Tommy, Dad”, age 58, of Pinconning Michigan, passed away June 9, 2022. He was born in Bay City Michigan on September 21, 1963 to Phillip and Maryanne (Morris) Pickvet. He was raised on a small farm in Pinconning Michigan that taught him the love of growing and raising things. His life was full of love, always taking in strangers and always open armed to his family no matter how distant. He was strong willed, independent, outspoken, and very direct. Tom has always stood for what he believed in, and was always open to speak about anything. He was a person for people, a motivator, a preacher, and great listener. Tom’s love for God and people will forever be something that will last forever in all of us. His friends and family will always remember sitting with him, spending countless hours talking about his passions, God, family, and life. Whether it be in the basement of the old house, the hay mound on the farm, or on the bank of a river drowning worms, many stories, laughs, tears and hugs were shared. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Maryanne; and his oldest brother, James “Jim” Pickvet. Surviving him are his sisters, JoAnn Holmaquist and Jackie (Brian “Bud”) Jacobs; brother, Jeffery “Jeff” (Denise) Pickvet; nieces, Cassie (Tom) Kleinhart, and Tammy (Mike) Epley; his children, Brett (Daisy) Jones, Melissa (Stephen) Hickcox, Jennifer (Billy) Pickvet; step-daughter, Addison Tottingham; grandchildren, Jasper, Julius, Austin, Tyler, Kenneth, Delilah, Khloe, and Brody; and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews. “I’ll always be proud of all of you, I love you.” Jay Thomas Pickvet “Dad” To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com
