Obituary of Barbara Jean Knapp

Barbara J. Knapp, age 83 of Midland, died Friday, July 1, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center – Midland. She was born August 13, 1938 in Jasper Township, to the late Dale and Constance (Firman) Hoyt. She worked in the hospitality field for many years and was a member of both the Sanford Eagles and American Legion. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, and music.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin J. Knapp; her children, Tina (Richard) Gates of Midland, Shelly (Jeffery) Hitsman of Shepherd, Calvin (Jodi) Knapp of Houston TX; two sisters, Patricia (Dale) Harcourt of Coleman and Susan Bowers of Midland; a brother, Randy (Cathy) Hoyt of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
