Virginia M. Kain (Elsesser)
1936-2022
Virginia M. Kain, age 85 of Owendale, Michigan, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region after a short illness.
Virginia was born on July 17, 1936 to the parents of William and Christina Elsesser. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She loved being silly and making others laugh. Her laugh was contagious and brought joy to so many. Virginia also loved drinking instant coffee, tinkering in her backyard, dining out with family, and enjoying her favorite beverage.
Virginia is survived by her loving children: Sandy (Skeeze) Wible of Bay City, Ronda (Dave) Reil of Owendale, Tim (Ruthie) Kain of Owendale, Jean (Jamie) Wible of Kawkawlin, Tammy (Pete) Klemkowsky of West Virginia, Jackie (Rocky) Archangeli of Bay City, and Scott (Diane Richardson) Kain of Cass City. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice (Kain) Murawski, her parents William and Christina Elsesser, and her siblings Otto Elsesser, Billy Elsesser, Diane Lesoski, and Donna Gunsell.
Our mother will be missed dearly. We will always love her and she will be in our hearts forever. We will remember her silliness, her smile, her stories, and her famous lemon meringue pie.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to either Owendale United Methodist Church or their favorite charity in Virginia’s name.
A celebration of life will be on August 11, 2022 at the Owendale United Methodist Church at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor David Leineke officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 3:30 P.M. until the time of service. The celebration meal will immediately follow the church service.
