Obituary of Bruce Merl Clark

Bruce Merl Clark, age 59, of Coleman, passed away July 13, 2022, at Midland Hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 4, 1963, in Midland, MI to the late Nelson and Donna (Barber) Clark. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; sons, Andy (Megan) and Branden (Kait); and grandchildren, Mason, Maren and Marek Clark and Eloise Clark.  He also is survived by his two brothers, Gary (Connie) and Mark (Laurie); a sister, Leane (Aaron) Strouse; and nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce grew up in Coleman and after high school held several jobs in and around Coleman.  He married Dawn in 1984 and they settled at the property he grew up on.  He was extremely proud of the fact that his boys and grandchildren got to hunt on the same property as Bruce’s grandfather.  

He was proud of his various community service activities over the years, including serving as an EMT, a volunteer firefighter, Midland County Road Commission, and the Warren Township Board for sixteen years.  He loved to garden, he loved his dog “Dolly”, and he loved his family.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Faith United Methodist Church, 416 N. Second St., Coleman MI.  The family will receive visitors at church from 10 AM until the time of service.  Pastor Alan Rydman will officiate.  A meal at Faith United Methodist will follow the service.
