Mr. Northrup, age 71, passed away on Friday July 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family and special friend.  Norman Kirk was born in Alma, Michigan on October 22, 1950 to the late Norman A. and Maxine (Norris) Northrup.  Kirk was a 1969 Graduate of Midland High School.  Norman served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.  After his retirement he was a Pyrotech and member of the Polish Pryos.  Kirk married the former Bethany J. Coleman on May 11, 1974 she survives him.  Kirk enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycles, gardening, and woodworking.  Mr. Northrup is survived by his wife Beth, their children Travis Northrup and Brook (Jake Gillis) Northrup.  Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren Cody Northrup, Emily Northrup, Austin (Natalie) Gillis, Taylor Gillis and Jaylen Gillis, grand dogs Wynnie and Phoebe, his sister Pennie (Dave) Smith, sisters in law Becky Sabourin, Judy Coleman, Melissa Shaw and Anne Northrup, brother in law Duane (Carol) Coleman, and special best friend who was like a brother Keith (Lynn) Bond, also surviving are many nieces and nephews which he cherished.   He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Northrup, his sister and brother in law Connie (Charles) Pajunen and his father and mother in law Lina G. & Verla Coleman.  A life celebration will be held at a later date.
