Obituary of Norman Gregory Jardis

Norman Gregory Jardis, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, MI.  He was born November 23, 1941 in Saginaw Michigan to John and Eleanor Jardis.  He graduated from Midland High School in 1959 and married Marlene Dodge on November 4, 1962.  He started his career at Hemlock Semi-Conductor as an operator in 1962 and retired 30 years later in 1992 as an area supervisor.  During his life Norm was always known as a hard worker, and he also enjoyed hunting, salmon fishing, golfing, woodworking, puttering on the family farm, and driving his tractor. He was a man of many talents.

He is survived by his wife Marlene “Marti”; and the joys of his life, his three children and six grandsons; son, Mark Jardis of Midland; daughters, Tawni (Chuck) Millard of Mooresville, NC, and Lori (Charles) Krafft of Midland; grandsons, Justin (Mikki) Cassidy, Sam Millard, Max Millard, Jordan Cassidy, Quinn Millard and Jonathan Jardis; along with two great-granddaughters, Kinsley and Kylie Cassidy.  He is also survived by his siblings, sisters, Gail Martin, Peggy (Serge) Poyo, and Kris (Dan) Fuller; brothers, Byo (Jo Anne) Burditt and Mike (Julie) Burditt; special niece, Andrea; and many other nieces and nephews that were dear to him.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Eleanor Jardis, and step-father, Byron Burditt.  As per Norm’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
