Obituary of Terrence Scott McFarland

Terry McFarland

07/26/1960 – 08/11/2022

 

Terry McFarland passed away on Thursday August 11, 2022, at the age of 62. He was born in Saginaw to the late Thomas and Grace McFarland.  He spent his childhood summers on Oak Beach in Caseville, MI catching snakes, frogs, and fish.  After graduating from Arthur Hill High School, he ventured out to Colorado where he met his wife Lisa and was married in 1985.  He earned an associate degree from the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver in 1989, and later that year he started a family and has two children.  After painting for various companies in Michigan & Colorado, he established Nice Touch Painting which he successfully ran for 15 years and specialized in high-end residential homes in and around Boulder County. 

 

Terry enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and cruising in his prized possession, “Motown Shaker”, a 1928 Model A hot rod coupe he spent 10 years building from ground up.  His artistic talent showed in everything he did from airbrushing motorcycle tanks to remodeling his cabin in Beaverton, MI.

He had a passion for helping others when he saw they needed it and spending time with his family and friends.  He was an avid Colorado Avalanche fan and faithfully watched every game leading to their 2022 Stanley Cup victory which was a highlight of his year.

 

Surviving to cherish his memories are his wife, Lisa McFarland; two children, Brittany & husband Corey Brazzell and Shane McFarland; four grandchildren, Annabelle, Silas, Odin, & Finn Brazzell; two siblings and their spouses, Jim & Fran McFarland and John & Linda (McFarland) Dosh as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Terry was predeceased by three older brothers Mike, Pat, and Tim McFarland.
