Debbie, age 68, of Flushing, MI, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born on April 1, 1954 to the late Herman and Donna Schreiber of Davison.  Debbie graduated from Davison High School in 1972 and went on to receive a BA in Education from Western Michigan University. There she met her college sweetheart and they married on November 16, 1974. She continued on to receive a MA in Special Education at Oakland University.

Debbie loved all of her students that she taught over 32 years, and retired as a kindergarten teacher at Syring Elementary in Swartz Creek. She enjoyed camping, traveling, games, bird watching, music, gardening, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Freddy Fernandes; brother, Larry Schreiber; sister-in-law, Marilyn Schreiber; three children, Noel Fernandes, Nicole Minnis, and Nisha Seshadri; sons-in-law Jeff Minnis and Krishnan Seshadri, along with her grandchildren, Riley and Carter Minnis, and Ayaan and Jaya Seshadri. She will be greatly missed by family and all who were lucky to have known her.

A memorial service will be held by immediate family at a later date.
