Obituary of Steven Mark Holtz

Steven Mark Holtz, 71 years old, of Fort Pierce, Florida and Midland, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2022. Steve was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in December 2019 and fought a long hard battle. He passed away peacefully and pain free.

He was born on November 29, 1950 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Frederick and Halo Holtz. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. Steve then spent his career with the Department of Justice at Federal Correctional Institution Milan in Milan MI, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, woodworking, and traveling with his wife.

Steve is survived by his wife of 30+ years, Rebecca (Bliesener) of Fort Pierce, Florida and Midland, Michigan; his son, Michael of Jackson, Michigan; his son, Christopher of St. Joseph, Michigan; ex-daughter-in-law, Cindy Holtz of Jackson, Michigan; 2 grandchildren, Oliviah and Luke Holtz of Jackson, Michigan; 2 brothers, George (Patricia) of Boynton Beach, Florida and John (Phyllis) of Dundee, Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
