Obituary of Jeffrey Carl Schubert DDS

Dr. Jeffrey C. Schubert of West Branch, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2022 at 74 years of age.  He was born on April 16, 1948 to Jack and Inez (Parliament) Schubert in Lansing, Michigan.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark.

 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kristen J. Schubert (VanOosten), his son Dr. Curt J. Schubert (Rebecca) of Traverse City; daughter, Carrie J. Barriger (Rodney) of Sanford, and a brother Kent S. Schubert (Christi) of Chesaning. Also surviving him are his beloved grandchildren: Brett, Josh, Josie, and Luke of Sanford and Michele and Fritz of Traverse City.

 

Jeff graduated from Bridgeport High School and always followed the Bearcats. He went on to college at Michigan State University and then dental school at the University of Michigan. Jeff practiced dentistry in West Branch for 36 years. During that time he made many lasting friendships with his patients and also with his devoted staff: Laurie, Jen, Stephanie, Elisa, and Cindy. After retirement, he pursued his hobbies of golfing, hunting, fishing, and tinkering!  But the majority of his time was spent following his grandchildren in their many endeavors.  He was one proud Papa!

 

Jeff gave to the Gift of Life.  Cremation has taken place and his family will honor him in a private ceremony.
