Obituary of Karen Frances Delbosque

5/20/1952 - 9/12/2022

Karen, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Covenant at the age of 70 years, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rita (Shotwell) Pietrzak.

She enjoyed taking her grandkids on adventures, traveling, movies, trivia, music, animals, and books.  Her favorite places to visit were California and New York City where she loved to watch Broadway Musicals!

She started working at Michigan Bell in her late teens, then attended Delta College to get her degree. She later went on to work at Delta College and other various jobs, including Easter Seals, and finally Michigan Works from which she retired.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Kurt) Lambert; her son, Brian Delbosque (Shannon Esckilsen); her grandkids, Aria Meyers and Alex Delbosque; her sister, Diane (Kurt) Wagner; her brother, David Pietrzak; nephew, Jacob Wagner; and various aunts, uncles and cousins.

A very special thank you to her caregiver Tracy Johnson who cared for her for 5 years and has become part of our family.

Per her wishes she will be cremated with no funeral or memorial service. The family will gather for a celebration meal sometime later to honor her.
