Oma-Kay Armstrong, age 81 of Caro formerly of Manistee and Rockport, TX, gained her angel wings on Saturday October 1, 2022.  Kay was born on February 23, 1941 in Kalamazoo to the late Arlan and Lucy (MacLarty) Hartwick.  Kay graduated from Cass City High School in 1959, and then went on to business school in Saginaw and worked in Insurance. Kay married Richard Armstrong on June 6, 1964. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2019. After Kay and Richard were married, Kay stayed home to take care of the household. After Richard retired, they traveled together across the country, visiting 46 states.  They spent their retirement years in Manistee and Rockport, TX. Kay enjoyed traveling, NASCAR events, Jam Sessions, Happy Hour with friends, and spending time with children and grandchildren.

Oma-Kay is survived by her daughter, Michele (Jim) Morell; son, Troy Armstrong (special friend Shelly); three grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Newbegin, Allison (Harry) Buckel, and Skye Armstrong (special friend Carter); sister, Catherine (Robert) Williams; sisters-in-law, Sharron Hartwick and Beverly (Don) Hazard; and many nieces and nephews.  Kay was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Tonya Armstrong; brother, Jack Hartwick; and brother-in-law, Jack VanAllen.

Cremation has been taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11am, Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 123 W.
