Janet Elaine Anderson, age 78, of Ishpeming, MI, passed away on October 6, 2022.  She was born on September 7, 1944, to the late Alger and Martha (Menard) Anderson in Marquette, MI.  Janet was a 1962 graduate of Ishpeming High School.  She was employed as Deputy of Register of Deeds for Marquette County until her retirement.  She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ishpeming.  In her free time, she enjoyed reading and doing crafts which included knitting, crocheting, needlepointing, and ceramics.  Janet was always ready and enjoyed going for car rides.  

Janet is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Paul) Mattson of Bridgeport, MI and brother-in-law Ronald Provost of Marquette, MI; nieces, Roberta (James) Nagel of Bridgeport, MI, Laurel (Steven) Barnovitz of Hemlock, MI; and nephews, Darin (Kimberly) Mattson of Freeland, MI, and Daniel (Nicole) Provost of Newton, IA; 5 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews; 1 great-great-niece; and 1 great-great-nephew.  In addition, to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her sister Martha Provost.  A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
