Obituary of Joy Ann Coty

On October 12,2022 Joy Ann Coty of St. Charles passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 79.  She was born in Saginaw to the late Raoul and Anis (Bhirdo) Charboneau. She graduated from S.S. Peter and Paul in 1961. She married the only man for her, Edward Coty on July 3, 1965.

Joy was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Immaculate Conception of St. Charles. Joy and family moved to St. Charles, MI. in 1978.  She loved spending time with friends and family, casino trips and crochet.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years Ed; 3 children, Jeff (Michele) Coty, Jennifer (Rick) Schnell and Jason (Marcia) Coty. 7 grandchildren, Coty Schnell, Sydney Schnell, Kelsea Coty, Bryce Coty, Sasha (Mando) Colon, Shaina Verdusco and Anthony Verdusco. Two great grandchildren, Charlotte Verdusco and Annabelle O’Connor whom she adored, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Maxine Gleason, Ilene Mazur, Jack Charboneau, Fred Charboneau, Gloria Lamblin and Janis Wheeler.

The celebration of Joys’ life will take place on October 24, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception located at 708 Sanderson St., St. Charles, MI. 48655. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., service begins at 11:00 a.m.
