Mr. Chase passed away peacefully at his home on November 7, 2022 at the age of 53. He was born on October 5, 1969 in Saginaw to the late Clifford and Diane (Ballard) Chase. Gordon was a graduate of Bay City Central High School class of 1988. He was a farmer for over 20 years, and for the las 14 years he worked at Saginaw Valley State University as a Grounds Crewman for the Athletics Department. Through his work he was an example and role model for others, demonstrated an amazing work ethic, and took pride in all of his work. From the time Gordon was a child he loved the outdoors, and was an avid hunter. Hunting was his passion, and he took trips hunting all around the U.S. and Canada, and earned many Big Game trophies for himself. Gordon could fix anything, and he was never one to sit still, always finding a project to tinker with or helping a friend with theirs. Even after working a full day, he enjoyed spending his evenings working on the farm with friends. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his daughters, granddaughters, family and friends. Gordon was an amazing person who would do anything for anyone he met. He had many friends and family members who cared about him deeply, and they will forever miss him. Gordon is survived by his two daughters; Rebecca (Chad Reid) McLaurin, and Sarah (Kevin) Roland, granddaughters; Skylar, Kendall and Reagan, siblings; Todd (Tina) Chase, Martin (Krista) Chase, Michael Chase, and Sue Chase, nieces and nephews; Todd Chase, Jr., Travis Chase, Tonya (Tim) Zube, Kerissa (Chris) Gauthier, Julia (Mike) Passal, Kyle Chase, Ana Chase, Kylie Chase, and Emilee Chase. Also surviving him are his great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many close friends who he considered family. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will take place on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.  at Munger Volunteer Fireman Corporation Hall at Munger School located at 1625 S.
