Morin (Moll), Eleanor M.
Saginaw, Michigan
Our loving Mother, Eleanor M. Morin passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 19, 2022, at the age of 90.
She was born at home on Bewick St. Saginaw, Michigan to the Late Henry and Mable Moll in 1932 as a twin with Ruth A. Moll. At the age of 20, she met and married her love, Joseph F. Morin, who preceeded her in death in January 1997. They had two daughters as their legacy, Loretta J Israel, and Tamara “Tami” and Kenneth “Kenny” Erlenbach.
She worked for many years at Heath Meat Packing and Saginaw Processing, and Scott still remembered she cut her fingers all the time from work. She also drove a school bus for Bridgeport Schools back in the day.
She lived a good healthy life. She was known for sending cards in the mail for all occasions and yes, if she heard you stubbed your toe, you were getting a card. She loved writing thoughtful notes to people. She never looked or acted her age, as she kept herself busy and was known for walking fast. She especially enjoyed going to bingo at the Williamson Rd. bingo hall with her best friend, Margo Donahue and the gang. She also loved to read about the Amish, and would read for hours at a time. Eleanor was an adopted Grandma, Nana, and Nana 2, to many that loved her.
In addition to her daughters, she is survived by her grandchildren, Scott and Jenny Gonzales, Honnie and Pat Deegan, Kenny and Lisa Erlenbach, Kayla High, and Darwin Israel; her great-grandchildren, Madison (Reaghan) Gonzales, Hunter Gonzales, Mackenzie and Kenneth Lee Erlenbach, Alexia and Anthony Yacobellis, Clover Deegan, and Julian Martinez; sisters-in-law, Joni Moll and Joan Morin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins
Special thank you to Frankie Israel being a help and has been her adopted daughter for the past 55 years. Grayson Allore had a special bond with Nana 2 watching movies, eating popcorn, Tic-Tacs and coloring together.
Eleanor was waiting patiently to enter the Gates of Heaven to be with her husband Joe and all of her family. There were many there waiting for her, her husband of 45 years, Joe Morin; her parents, Henry and Mable Moll; her siblings, twin sister, Ruth Moll, Lawrence Moll Jr., Norrine Walters, Clayton Moll, and Kenny Moll; sons-in-law, James “Jimmy” Gonzales, and Rev. Doyle Israel.
The Family would like to express a special thank you to Compassus Hospice, their staff & Amber and Roger for giving such comfort and empathy to us during this long goodbye.
Honoring Eleanor’s wishes cremation has taken place and no memorial service is planned. To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
