Tom was born on October 13, 1934, the youngest child of Frank and Grace (Howland) Weaver. Tom served 4 years in the Navy, and about a year after his return home, met Lila Mae DeShone, the love of his life. A short six months later the two were married on January 31, 1959. He thoroughly enjoyed being grandpa to Andrea Brennan Nuelken, Allison Brennan Covello, Ashleigh Hershey Woodworth, Andrew Hershey, Ranae Nartker Templeton, Nathan Nartker, Bradley Nartker, Elizabeth Hurt, and Caleb Hurt. He was also blessed and a blessing to be Great Grandpa (GGpa) to Chase, Breegan, Trentyn, Myleigh, Gracie, Charlotte, Hartley, Brenna, and Raylyn.
Tom was an active member in American Legion Post #295, participating earlier in life on the drill team. After his retirement from Dow, he and Lila enjoyed many hours playing golf and casino hopping throughout Michigan as well as bowling or sitting in the car doing crossword puzzles while Lila shopped in JoAnn’s. He and Lila were active members at St. Patrick’s Church, Ryan, including counselling many young couples who were preparing to marry in the church.
