Betty Ulman

Obituary of Betty Maxine Ulman

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Betty M. Ulman, age 93 of East Tawas, passed away on December 22, 2022. Betty was born on December 17, 1929, to Judson and Frances Freel in Tawas Township. She graduated from the high school in East Tawas in 1949.

On September 2, 1950, she married Francis (Geno) Ulman and worked by his side as his primary painter for many of the homes he built in the Tawas Area. Betty and Geno raised four sons, Dennis (Debbie) residing in Winnsboro, Texas, Ron (Joni) and Jim (Diana) both couples residing in Tawas, and Scott (Lorie) from Grand Blanc.

Betty was predeceased by Geno in 1995, brothers Howard and Carmen, sisters Grace, Vera, Marvel, and earlier this year her youngest son Scott.

Family and friends were very important and nothing pleased her more than a phone call or a visit. She enjoyed socializing at the Senior Center on Newman Street.

Betty's legacy includes seven (7) grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a gentle, loving place in all our hearts.

Per her wishes, Betty was cremated and will be interred in Memory Gardens in Tawas City after her family gathers for a meal together this summer. An online guest registry is available at www.cremationsocietymidmi.com.  The family requests donations be made to the East Tawas Senior Center at 312 Newman St, an organization Betty felt strongly about.
