Obituary of Ronald Lee Smith

Ronald Smith, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023.  She was born on July 15, 1945 in Midland, Michigan, to Russell and Lora (Lowe) Smith.

Ron graduated from Midland High School in 1963. From an early age, he developed a love for electronics, and this led to him owning Deltronix, in Midland, in the late 1960’s.

Preceding Ron in death are his parents, Russell (d. 1981) and Lora (d. 1999); siblings, Nick (d. 1958), Bonnie (Speaker, d. 2014), and Larry (d. 2021).

He is survived by brother, John (Kathy); sister, Judy Terwillegar (Tom); son, Jim (Becky); three grandsons, Nick (Bri), Gabe (Tanisha), and Isaac; two great-grandchildren, Russell and Gwendolyn; cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by his friend and partner for 34 years, Patricia (Emerson); her two children, James (Bridget) and Lorie (Middleton); grandchildren, Brittany (Booker), Michael, Kayla, and Casey; and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Brittany Manor for their care for Ron over the past few months.
