Obituary of David Allen Black

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

David A. Black of Midland, MI passed away peacefully January 3, 2023 at the age of 62.  He was born February 24, 1960 to the late Francis “Lee” Black, formerly of Bay City, MI, and the late Doris Goodman of Clovis, CA.

He is survived by a sister, Denise (John) Teringo of Lake Charles, LA, 2 aunts, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 4 cousins and many dear friends.  He was predeceased by a sister, Jeanne Webb of San Jose, CA.

David lived a life of travel and adventure; truly, a free spirit.  He had a life-long passion for automobiles and owned many muscle cars that he proudly worked on himself.  Not surprisingly, he was a NASCAR enthusiast.  He also had a love of music and delighted in discovering the works of new artists.

A memorial celebration will be held at 11:00am January 14, 2023 at the New Life Vineyard Church, 1014 E. Ashman Street in Midland with Pastor Mike Leiter officiating.  Internment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to MyMichigan Hospice of Midland.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocitymidmi.com  Arrangements made with Cremation Society of Mid-Michigan 1-989-892-1772.
