Obituary of Dale Lee McLeod

McLeod, Dale “Butch” L.

Bridgeport, MI

Passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the age of 82. He was born April 24, 1940 to the late Charles McLeod and Viola May (Woodbury) McLeod, in Saginaw, MI.

Butch was a member of the American Legion Post #22 and the Kosciuszko Club in Saginaw, Michigan. He worked for General Motors and retired in 1982. Butch was loved by many, always with a smile on his face and fun in his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family or friends at the club. Most of all, he loved camping every summer with his beloved wife Connie in Old Orchard Park in Oscoda, Michigan. He will be missed at the campfires and in our hearts.

Butch is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie McLeod; his siblings, Carole Gwizdala, Gail Poineau, Vicky Konecny, and Randy McLeod (Connie); his children, Sue Knowlton (Curt), Vicky Carpenter (Scott), Randy Demmings (Pam), Larry Durek, Trevor McLeod (Monica), and Jason McLeod (Jackie); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jim, Justin, Jacob, Tim, Michael, Randy Jr., Mike, Justin, Johnathan, Dillion, Larry Jr., John, Steven, Sara, Jessica, Donnie, Jennifer, and Cecelia; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Butch was predeceased by siblings, Charles McLeod Jr., Bobby and Betty McLeod, Nancy McLeod, Donna Beuthin, Terry McLeod, and Sue McLeod; and by two sons, Dale McLeod Jr. and Donald McLeod.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held February 23, 2023, from 2pm - 6 pm, at the American Legion Post #22, 2200 S.
