Obituary of William Francis Alburg

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

William F. Alburg of East Tawas, and formerly of Bay City, passed away peacefully at his family’s vacation home on Saturday, February 4, 2023.  William enjoyed living life to the fullest with his wife Coreen by his side.  They enjoyed many adventures that included the Perchville Festival in East Tawas, watching the band, and planned their retirement to enjoy their close friends and family there.  He was very active, walking and jogging 10 miles at a time, at the age of 81, especially if it meant gettin coffee at Tim Hortons or getting Chinese food.

William is survived by his children, Erik Alburg, and Kirsten Alburg; step-son Dean Luberda; grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Helena Lonsway Alburg; and his beloved wife of 32 years, Coreen Alburg.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 17, 2023, at Elm Lawn Cemetery, 300 Ridge Road, Bay City, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the charities William and Coreen were supporters of: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, ASPCA, Wounded Warriors Project, or the Saginaw Soup Kitchen.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
