Joseph, age 87, passed away February 5, 2023. He was born in Saginaw Michigan on December 18, 1935 to the late Howard and Marjorie (Corcoran) Gale. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in Saginaw, then honorably served 4 years in the United States Army. He worked as a millwright at General Motors for 27 years. He was a volunteer fireman in Thomas Township and sang in the choir at Holy Spirit Catholic Church before moving to Midland and marrying the love of his life, Ruth Ann Gardner. Joe loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and going to the casino. He had a love for animals and always fed them in the morning when he’d go out to tend his garden. He especially loved his little dog Jenny and taking her for walks. No matter where Joe went, he made conversations with anyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Joe is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann; daughters, Denise (Gary) of Indian River, Debora (Robin) of Midland, and Julie Adams of Saginaw; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Pat) Gale of Saginaw MI; sister-in-law, Carol Gembarowski of Saginaw MI; daughter-in-law, Amy Gale of Noblesville IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Derek Gale; daughter, Katrina Bonnell; grandson, Storm Gale; brothers, James Gale and Harold Gale; and sister, Gweneth Sting.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Midland County.
