Kendell Keith Poulson,
Fenton, MI

Ken, age 99, passed away February 13, 2023. He was born January 20, 1924, to the late Kenneth Poulson and Della Lamoreaux in the town of Lowell, Michigan.
He worked for the Boy Scouts of America for 35 years after graduating from Central Michigan University. At the age of 39, Ken finally met the love of his life, Susie, while they were both working at Boy Scouts of America. They married in 1964 and he retired in 1986, though he stayed involved in scouting for 30 more years.
After retiring, Ken and Sue moved to Houghton Lake, Michigan and spent their winters in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. He kept busy with woodworking, birding, fishing and playing cards. He volunteered at The Association to Rescue Kritters (ARK) in Houghton Lake, MI and enjoyed being part of the Birds of Prey program. He also volunteered at Ding Darling Wild Life Preserve on Sanibel Island, Florida. He loved meeting people from all over the world and sharing his vast knowledge of birds, alligators, and crocodiles with them. His woodworking continued in Florida as they participated in craft shows. He liked to donate his crafts to the Teddy Bear Club and other causes. In the last few years Ken was still active and enjoyed playing cards, going to the movies, watching baseball, and spending time with his family.
