Obituary of Mary Lou Vesterfelt

Vesterfelt, Mary L. 

Frankenmuth, Michigan 

Mary passed away March 3, 2023, at the age of 93.  She was born on November 19, 1929 in Saginaw, to George and Leona (Bohn) Lenk. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Donald Vesterfelt in 2008; her son, Daniel Vesterfelt in 2007; and by her siblings, Eleanor, Jean, Lucille, Ida, Francis, Morris, John, and George.  She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Mark) Chall; grandchildren, Rachel Chall, Lidia, Drew, and Jessica Vesterfelt; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Vesterfelt. 

Beyond being a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, she was an aunt to many much loved, nieces and nephews and their children. A special thank you to Chuck and Judy Pegley for their help in her later years. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Michigan.
