Obituary of Michael Paul Howerton

Michael P. Howerton Sr., age 75, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away in his home while surrounded by loved ones on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born June 1, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert and Pearle (Sackey) Howerton.  He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1966, and eventually retired in Saginaw, Michigan in 2017.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Mary Breeden; children, Sheri (Ron) Leszczynski, Allen (Shelli) Howerton, and Michael (Julie) Howerton Jr.; sister, Judy (Bill) McFarlane; sister-in-law, Patricia; as well as numerous beloved brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his twin brother Timothy, and his sister Shirley.

The family would also like to specifically recognize and thank the caregivers with Covenant Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Care for all of their care and compassion given to Michael over the final months of his life.

While there are currently no funeral or memorial services planned, the family deeply mourns the loss of their loving Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather, and encourages any and all who knew and loved him to hold him close in your hearts and thoughts during this difficult time.
