Obituary of JOHN ALPHONSE LESAGE

John “Jack” LeSage went to be with Jesus on Monday, April 3, 2023. Jack was born in Bay City, Michigan on July 23, 1937 to Honey and George Auer.

 

He married Joan Kobetic on September 6, 1958 in Bay City Michigan. They had 6 children, Suzanne (Jim) Witucki, Johnny, Kathy (Scott) Skindingsrude, David (Michelle), Troy (MaryBeth), and Lori (Ted) Dunn.  Jack and Joan have 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

 

Jack joined the Army right out of high school and then later joined the Navy for over 20 years. He retired from the Navy in August 1976 to Bay City Michigan. Jack started working again for GM where he retired 1997 in Philadelphia.  When he retired from GM, he and Joan moved back to their home town of Bay City.

 

Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He really enjoyed playing golf & bowling. He was quite good at sports and brags of shooting a 58 for nine holes and accomplishing a hole in one twice!  He also boasted of a 300 game in bowling. Fishing with his brother Danny, was one of his favorite things to do and they spoke on the phone frequently.

 

He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, and a sister, Gloria Brya of Illinois.  He was predeceased by Al LeSage, biological father George and mother, Honey (Regina) Auer.  His son, Johnny, passed away in June 1988 and his brother Daniel November 2022.
