Jackson, Elisabeth Eleonore
Hale, MI
Early on April 8, 2023, our dearest Oma fell asleep peacefully. She just kept saying, “I’m being lazy now”. She lived 86 long years and filled every moment of her life with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her family, her spiritual family, her faith, and her ministry. She loved animals and enjoyed life at her grandparent’s farm in Germany. At one time she had a pet goat, like a puppy, in the house. She was always bringing home little broken things from the farm down the road to patch them up. She was a hard worker, starting in Germany at a hospital as a young girl; working in her father’s Music Store, she could play everything except a violin; and had the opportunity to be an Opera singer. Later on, she lumbered with her husband in the United States, building a house together from their own sawmill, and nailed pallets for the neighbors. She loved gardening, baking, crocheting, caretaking of her grandchildren, and dancing polkas. She always worked hard for Jehovah and shared her faith with everyone. As she is sleeping now, we are awaiting her awakening by Jehovah, as the younger girl she always was at heart.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sonya Serena Goschke and son, Henry David (Tressa) Montney(Tressa); grandchildren, Serena BreRaye (Allen) Champine, Kelsey Coryn (Trever) Nicholson, Maveric Quade (Makayla) Goschke, Gaelen Mikale Goschke, Quinten Tre Goschke, Keagan Kade Goschke, Henry David (Lucille) Montney Jr., Angel Marie (Richard) Smith, David Joey Montney, Mary Ostrow, Amber Ostrow, Ashley (Domenico) Nolletti; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Maxwell, Sawyer, Mason, Octavia, Frank, Alyssa,Tristen, Selene, Olive, Aamani, Lorenzo, and Rose; and daughter-in-law, Norma Montney. She was predeceased by her son, Patrick Steven Montney.
