Agnello, Mary Lou (Cooper)

Beaverton, MI

(formerly of Saginaw, MI)

Mary Agnello, our beloved wife, mother, nona, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 21, 2023.

Mary Lou was born on August 22, 1953 in Saginaw to the late Edwin and Mary (Fedak) Cooper.  She married the love of her life, Rosario “Russ” Agnello on June 16, 1990, and he survives her.

Mary had a few jobs in her life, but none she loved more than working at McBrite Manor.  She loved helping people and the residents of McBrite really loved her.  She made many families feel secure knowing that she was keeping a watchful eye over their loved ones.  Mary retired after 25 years of faithful service to her extended families.

Upon her retirement, she and Russ decided to move to Beaverton and spend their golden years enjoying the wonder of Wixom Lake.  Mary loved having company and family come to visit.  She was not a fan of being on the pontoon though.  She’d go for a ride around the lake, but there was definitely no horsing around while she was co-captain.  Russ always made sure his “Honey Lou” made it home safe and sound.

Mary is survived by her husband, Rosario Agnello; four daughters, Stacey Clauss (Bob Ross), Dawn Agnello (Kevin Tolodziecki), Angela (Greg) Maynard, and Laura (Jeremy Fifield); six grandchildren, Alyssa Fifield, Olivia, Ellie and Stella Maynard, and KJ and Kole Fifield; two sisters, Patricia Shade and Lorinda Wasmiller; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Carol Cooper, Kim Cooper, Janice Cooper, and Bernadette and Tony Welmers; and many nieces and nephews.  Mary also leaves behind her precious grand-dog, Cali.  We all know how much she loved her Cali.

Mary was preceeded in death by four brothers, Paul Cooper, Edwin Cooper, Keith Copper, and Jay Cooper; three sisters-in-law, Janet Cooper, Martha Henning, and Pauline Henley; three brothers-in-law, Dennis Shade, Bill Wasmiller and Chuck Henning.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Oakwood Mausoleum, 5950 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw Michigan.  The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until her service at 1:00 P.M.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
