Obituary of George Cady Bush

George C. Bush, attorney at law in Saginaw, Michigan, for 50 years, has died at the age of 82. He graduated from the Detroit College of Law in 1967 and worked as a Saginaw City Attorney, Saginaw County Prosecutor, and a defense attorney for the firm of Thick and Bush for many years. His specialty was criminal law. He was also president of the Pioneer Club and former chair of the Saginaw Zoning Board. As a person, he sustained and stabilized whatever he touched. He loved his work, his town, and his family. He loved fairness, justice, and the Constitution. He enjoyed the good company of friends and quietly supported many charities and PBS. George Bush was the son of James Cooper and Elaine Bush.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Briggs Bush of Saginaw/Bay City; a son, James Cady Bush of San Francisco; brothers, Jim Bush and John Bush of Saginaw; and sister, Mary Rowley of Roseville, California.
