Bridgeport, MI

Ric, age 70, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023.  He was born on December 19,1952 to the late Phyllis and L.D. Newsted, growing up in of St. Charles Michigan.  He was a member of CMA, IFOC, Patriot Guard, and Search and Rescue. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, and camping.

He is survived by his children, Vada (Jamie) Newsted, Barbie (Charles) Moten, Melanie Newsted, and Michelle Newsted; grandchildren, Aiden, Uriah, Jackson, Austin, Bella, and Cyrus; siblings, Leonard (Betty) Newsted, Annette Decker, Jenny (Mike) Traxler, Donald (Brady) Fink, and Kelly (Brian) Burt; aunt, Joanie Kushion; and uncle, John Hartman.  He was predeceased by Kristi Newsted, the love of his life.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Grace Valley Church, 4570 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw MI 48603, with Pastor Kurt Cullison officiating.  A luncheon will be held at the church following the service.
