Obituary of Steven Francis Irish

Steven F. Irish, age 51, passed away May 1, 2023. Steve was born in Essexville, Michigan to the late, Joyce (Schafer) and Paul Irish I on July 27, 1971. He graduated from Essexville Garber High School in 1989, and was a recipient of the Honor of Eagle Scout. He furthered his education at the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology and subsequently a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Degree from Central Michigan University. He was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  He worked in the tech industry for many years and loved traveling the world, especially an extended journey to Japan.

Steve is survived by his brothers, Paul (Lisa) Irish II and Kevin (Shannon) Irish; niece and nephews, Mallory, Garrett, Hunter and Brennan Irish; his aunt, Joan Schafer (Jerry) Tipmore; and dear friends for over 40 years, Rich (Cheryl) Trogan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Francis and Ruth Schafer and Francis and Violet Irish. Cremation has taken place and a private service was held.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
