Obituary of James Clarence Clabuesch

James “Jim” Clarence Clabuesch, age 80, of Roscommon Michigan (formerly of Saginaw, Michigan), died Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at his home, in the presence of his wife and grandson.  

 

Jim was born August 22, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (List) Clabuesch.

He was a 1960 graduate of Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw Michigan, a 1964 graduate of Cleary Business College in Ypsilanti Michigan, and married Diane DeLongchamp on July 25, 1964, in Pontiac, Michigan.

 

Jim loved playing golf and boating with his grandchildren.  He was a past member of the Saginaw Community Foundation, the Roscommon Community Foundation, and was a past president of the Cadillac Jaycees.  Jim was a current member of Shepherd of the Lakes in Roscommon, Michigan.

 

Jim took great pride in helping others as an independent life insurance salesman for over 30 years.  Jim was also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, local, state and national, and holding many offices.

 

He is survived by Diane, his beloved wife of 58 years; his sons, Timothy (Kim) Clabuesch and Theodore (Angela) Clabuesch; grandchildren, Emma, Taylor (Jon) Rutkowski, Kirk, Jared, Calista, Chloe, and Kaly Taylor, and Branden Lykins; great-grandson, Jasper Taylor; his sisters, Judie (Richard) Nelson, Jeanne Martin and Janette (Phil) Hood; brothers-in-law, David DeLongchamp and Dan (Michele) DeLongchamp; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
