Obituary of Jan Marie LaTour

Jan Marie Pawielski – LaTour, age 80, of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.  She was born in Munising, Michigan on December 26, 1942, to the late Stanley "Tom" and Muriel Caroline Pawielski. She worked in the Michigan school system for over 15 years, and also owned and operated a party store. She enjoyed reading books, playing Bingo, playing cards with friends and family, and watching TV game shows.

Jan is survived by her husband, Charles Raymond LaTour; her sister, Jill Zophia; her children, Dan LaTour, Julie (Bradley) McHugh, and Dean LaTour; grandchildren, Angela LaTour, John (Nicole) Dee II, Autumn LaTour, Derrick McHugh, and Braeden LaTour; and great-grandchildren, Emma, James and Hunter. 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 pm - 5 pm, May 31, 2023 at the McCann School, 399 McCann Street (next to the football field), St. Ignace, MI 49781. In Lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor's choice.
