Obituary of William Norman Churcott

William passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023 at the age of 81. He was born in Detroit on September 5, 1941 to the late Norman and Mildred (Babcock) Churcott.

William served in the United States Army 155th Transportation Company during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1963. William was also a U.S. Merchant Mariner and Longshoreman. He was a Gold Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2380 (Vassar, MI), and The Teamsters. He loved spending time with his family, friends, bowling, pool, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and being on the open road driving truck.

He is survived by his son, Matthew (Karen) Churcott and his daughter, Melissa Smith.  Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister, Beverly Underwood; and brother, Gary Churcott.
