Obituary of Janet Rae Goheen

Janet Rae Goheen, age 79, passed away on June 13, 2023, at her home surrounded by her children. Janet was born on June 12, 1944, in Pontiac Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Ruth (Heichel) McDonald; her husband, Dale Goheen, Sr.; and her grandson, Daniel Edward Goheen. Janet is survived by her children, Kim Keeley, Kelly and Butch Hasenfratz, and Dale and DiAnna Goheen, all from Beaverton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; along with her sisters and brothers-in-law.

 

Janet and her late husband owned Whiskey Beach Bait and Party Store in Gladwin County. When they retired from the party store business, she went to work for Chemical Bank. Janet loved to golf, bowl, and was an avid reader. She was part of many golf and bowling leagues over the years and traveled the United States going to different bowling competitions with her friends. She will be greatly missed. No service is planned currently.
