Mike age 65, passed away June 20, 2023.  He was born April 23, 1958, to the late Maureen and Allen Brechtelsbauer in Saginaw, Michigan.  He was a retired lieutenant for the City of Saginaw Fire Department. Mike loved spending time at his property, sailing, hunting, and spending time with his nephew Josh. He was active with Arenac County Animal shelter.

Surviving are, Wally (Mie) Brechtelsbauer of Manhattan Beach California; Jack (Patrice) Brechtelsbauer of Lansing Michigan; Bob (Sue) Brechtelsbauer; Jill (Bill) Thompson; several nieces and nephews; Katie Truong, Ken Brechtelsbauer, Blair Brechtelsbauer, Brandi Brechtelsbauer, Chassidy Thompson and Josh Thompson. Mike was predeceased by Amanda Thompson. Mike is also survived by his loyal companion Cleo.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Brian’s House in Essexville, MI and their dedicated and caring staff. Cremation has taken place, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
