Obituary of Mary Agnes Lewis

Mary Agnes Lewis, passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 75.  She was born on October 8, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Ann (Chmura) Okar.  Beloved wife of Jerry Lewis for 35 years.  Mother of Olin (Elisa Mattice) Longworth, Bart (Sarah) Longworth, Kathrine (Longworth) (Eric) Bass and Thomas Longworth.  Loving Busia (grandmother) to Dinah, Mia, Cassidy, Charlie, Elliot and Ollie.  Step-mother to Gary (Brenda) Lewis, Melissa (Jim) Ranck, Bethany (Mark) Neal, Tim (Colleen) Lewis.  Step-grandmother to Vivian, Victor, James, Janice, Alisha, Amanda, Crystal, Tiffany, Lindsey, Brittany, Madison, and Bianca.  She had 21 step-great-grandchildren.

Mary retired from Coleman Schools after teaching 5th grade and Middle School for 15 years.  After retiring Mary loved to travel and experience a variety of cuisines.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and raising chickens.  She especially loved watching Charlie and Elliot play softball/baseball. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, 203 Jefferson St., Coleman MI, at 1:00 PM, October 21, 2023.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the Bullock Creek Little League.
