Obituary of Brett Thomas Morgan

Brett Thomas Morgan passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Medilodge of Sterling surrounded by his loving family.
 

Brett, age 60, was born November 1, 1962, to the late Samuel and Thera (Pitcher) Morgan in Pigeon, Michigan. The pride of Brett’s life was his work as a commercial fisherman, working with his family and later owning and operating the family business, Pinconning Fisheries for over 30 years. Brett also worked as a laborer and was a proud member of LiUNA Local 1098. His greatest joy was found in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He gave back to his community, serving as head coach of the Standish Lions Football Team along with coaching other youth sports and showing fish at the local elementary school. He enjoyed golfing and friendly wagers on sports and NASCAR racing with his brother Mark and friends. Brett was kind and generous – he would always show up for anyone who needed a helping hand, and always with a smile.

Brett is survived by his sons, Josh (Kayla)Morgan and Jason (Jon) Morgan. And his beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Ellie, and Eliza Morgan; brothers Mark Morgan and Paul Morgan along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Morgan. Special thanks to the staff of Medilodge of Sterling, his brother Mark, and devoted friends Pete and Linda Brissette. Our family will always be thankful for the countless hours of love, care, and kindness you devoted to our dad in his last days. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life that will be held from 2:00- 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 5066 West Thomas Rd., Unionville, Michigan. The celebration of life venue is a fishing marina and cannot accept flowers.
