Hazel passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2023 at Ascension St. Mary’s at the age of 84. She was born in Flint, Michigan on October 17, 1938 to the late John and Helen (LaPratt) TerBush, and was raised in Mayville, Michigan on her family’s farm. Hazel retired from the Caro School system after 29 years as a Paraprofessional, and was a supporter of children in the community. She dedicated her time and talents as a youth group leader for Watrousville United Methodist Church, and served as a Cub Scout Leader. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and watching NASCAR and the Hallmark Channel. Hazel gave of herself freely and will be remembered for her generosity, and kindness to others. She always put her family first and was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.

Hazel is survived by her children, Randy Wagner, Kimberly (Larry) Martin, and Tamera (Rod) Bell. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathryn (Matt) Erdody, Michelle (Jason) Martin, Jerry (Jusiah) Middaugh, Alexandrea Martin, and Katie Bell; great-grandchildren, Morgan Middaugh, Madison Martin, Paige Martin and Emma Erdody; siblings, Raymond (Diane) Terbush, Melvin (Cookie) TerBush, Shirley Beutler, and Joyce Papkey; sister-in-law, Ann McLaughlin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Hazel was predeceased by her infant daughter, Diane Lynne Wagner; and siblings, Marie Rose, Viola Kukulski, Sharon Tedford, and Richard TerBush.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., July 22, 2023 at Watrousville United Methodist Church, 4446 W. Caro Rd. (M-81), Vassar, Vassar, MI 48768. The family will receive friend and family from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wishes of the Family.
