Richard, age 82, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was born in Flint, Michigan on April 11, 1941 to the late Zoe & Ken Newman. He was a member of and active with, the Bridgeport Community Church; loved flying small aircraft, and held a pilot's license for many years; enjoyed fixing electronics; and owned a TV repair business for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bonnie Newman; children, Suzanne 

Newman (Scott) Batchelor, David (Elizabeth) Newman, Bret (Shawn) Miller, Jennifer Miller (Jeff) Ray; ten grandchildren; and a sister, Jane (Ted) Kilgore; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm, on August 18, 2023, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly MI 48442, with Pastor Glen McIntyre officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Villagers Restaurant, 1121 N. Saginaw St.  #7, Holly MI 48442.
