Obituary of Mark William Siebert

Mark William Siebert, age 67 of Midland, passed away Thursday evening August 10, 2023, surrounded by family at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn.

Born October 8, 1955, to George W. and Norma E. (Frost) Siebert, Mark graduated from H. H. Dow Hight School in 1975.

Mark met Diane M. Cross of Midland and on June 20, 1987, they were married. They celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary this year.

Mark had worked for Lake Painting, Wilds Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Global Systems Installers, Midland Radiator, Duro Supply and several others over the years.

After retirement in 2017, Mark enjoyed working outside and helping others. He often worked for a friend, Mark Kovach, in his logging business. He also mowed grass, vacuumed leaves, plowed snow and cut and split wood to sell.

Mark enjoyed all forms of motor sports. He competed in demolition derbies, figure eight races, stock cars on dirt tracks, drag strips and racing his friends on motorcycles and quads. He also enjoyed Remote Control car racing, and once owned his own indoor RC Car racetrack where they sold cars, parts, and hosted races. He was also a member of the Central Michigan Old Car Club, attending car shows all over the state. He also enjoyed boating, camping, deer hunting and CB radio. His CB handle was “little red wagon”.

Mark is survived by his wife Diane, his daughter Stephanie (Ryan) Wolters, his son Chris Ordiway (Krystal Rodarte), and his grandchildren: Oriana, Beau, and Pacience Schindel, Roman, Lyla, Cortland, Georgeanna, Eden, and Augusta Wolters, Ayden and Phoenix Ordiway and his great granddaughter Silvia Gregus.

He also will be missed by his wife Diane’s family, mother Delores Cross, Sister Theresa Cross, brother Todd (Colleen) Cross and their children, Mikayla (Keith) Kubiak, Shelby Cross (Brady Brown).  Stephanie’s sister Melissa Seward whom Mark called (Orphan) and her son Sullivan Esdale. As well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mark was predeceased by his parents, George and Norma Siebert, grandparents Russell (Mildred) Frost, and Herman (Millie) Siebert, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Mark’s life will take place on Saturday October 7, 2023, at the Meridian Church of God located at 2130 North Meridian Road in Sanford. Pastor Kevin Tippin will officiate.

Mark’s family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11.
