Obituary of Virginia Bernice Roller

Virginia Bernice Roller, age 80, passed away August 28, 2023, and is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior. She was born in Bay City, Michigan on February 19, 1943. She graduated from T.L. Handy High in 1961, and married Jerry Allan Roller on September 9, 1967.

Virginia especially loved spending time with her three grandchildren, Madison, Bryce and Paige.  She retired in 2008 from Western & Southern Life Insurance. She was a charter member of New Life Missionary Church and taught Sunday School for many years. For the last several years she has passionately gathered supplies for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Roller; two sons, Timothy (Kaci) Roller and Gregory (Jamie) Roller; three grandchildren, Madison Roller, Bryson Roller and Paige Roller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Kern.

A memorial service will be held at New Life Missionary Church, 3121 E. North Union, Bay City, Michigan, Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11:00 am. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:00 am until service time. The Reverend Brian Reinhardt will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial gifts in Virginia’s honor may be made to New Life Missionary Church to be used for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry.
