Obituary of Renie K. Prueter

Renie K. (Zietz) Prueter, age 69, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away in her sleep, September 4, 2023 in her home under the care of Compassus Hospice, with her loving husband at her side. She was born August 30, 1954 to the late Richard Zietz and Lorraine (Feit) Zietz. She attended Bridgeport High School, graduating in 1973. She married her best friend, Henry William Prueter, on July 12, 1975, at St. James Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. They were happily married for 48 years and were still best friends after all those years. Together they had one son, Russell Henry Prueter, in 1981. She was a current member of St. John Amelith Lutheran Church in Bay City, Michigan. She was such a wonderful mother, wife, and friend, one we will never forget! She enjoyed taking care of the many cats and dogs they had over the years, especially her grand-puppies, and what she called her therapy cat, Missy.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; and her son and his fiancee, Russell and Angela. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother; two sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; her very good childhood friend, Linda Traub; and special friends, Julie, Niki, Karrie, Jeffery and Margaret. She was predeceased by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; and many aunts, uncles, a nephew, and an unborn child; plus many, many cats and dogs.
