Sally Zinck

Obituary of Sally Ann Zinck

Please share a memory of Sally to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sally Ann Zinck, age 72, a longtime resident of Saginaw, MI passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Sally was born June 9, 1951, in Saginaw, MI to Wallace E. and Ruth M. (Schultz) Zinck. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1969. After high school graduation, Sally attended Murphy’s Beauty Academy in downtown Saginaw, where she earned her Cosmetology license. She was an in-demand hair stylist in the area for many years.

Sally was so much fun. One of her favorite ways to spend a day was at a beach. She cherished the memories of her trip to Bermuda where she said the white sandy beaches were so beautiful and clean. Since Sally loved to dance, she also took the opportunity to live it up at the disco lounges in Bermuda, where she danced the night away!

Sally and her longtime boyfriend Jimmy visited more beaches when they vacationed in Maui, Hawaii.  There, they had a spectacular experience snorkeling on the side of a volcano and reveled in eating and being entertained at an authentic luau. Sally was such a free spirit, she never wanted to go back home. It was a trip of a lifetime and she was so happy to share it with Jimmy!

Family and friends were very important to Sally. She adored spending time with her family, especially her great-nieces and nephews, whom she loved unconditionally. Her nieces always thought of her as “the cool aunt” particularly when she told stories of going to the KISS concert in the 70’s or drove them around with the air conditioning on and the windows down in the summer to go out for ice cream!

Sally was one of the kindest people on the planet. She was always willing to help others and was an animal lover. She had several pet cats that supplied many laughs over the years. She will be greatly missed!

Sally was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw. The family would like to thank Pastor Samuel Weiss and the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) for all of their love, help, and support. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Sally is survived by her partner of 27 years Jimmy Paccione, brother-in-law John Wells, sister-in-law Karen Zinck, nieces Lisa Sanzica, Cindy (Chris) Gleaton, Carolyn (Steve) Gwisdalla along with many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy Wells, and brother William (Bill) Zinck.

For memorial contributions, the family has designated Peace Lutheran Church or the Visiting Nurse Association of Saginaw.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
