Obituary of Arlene T. Dinninger

Arlene Dinninger, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away September 16, 2023 at Covenant Hospital, at the age of 91. She was born June 14, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Joseph Yankauskas and Nina (McGregor) Yankauskas. Arlene married Joseph Dinninger on September 25, 1954, and he predeceased her on October 12, 1989.
Arlene worked most of her life, with her first job being at Sears and Roebuck in the credit department. She went on to work for the American Lung Association, and finally retired from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the age of 79.
Arlene lived all of her life in the Saginaw and Bridgeport areas, and enjoyed traveling, playing cards, line dancing, and going to the casino. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of two card clubs and enjoyed the time she spent traveling and having get-togethers with these special friends of many years. She also had a special love for animals and throughout most of her life, had a dog as a companion and friend.
Arlene is survived by her three children, Connie (Bill) Reetz, Joseph Dinninger Jr., and Guy (Jill) Dinninger; her grandchildren, Samantha Reetz, Stacey (Nick) McNaughton, Collin Dinninger, and Kylee Dinninger; and two great-grandchildren, Weston McNaughton and Charlie McNaughton. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Donald (Carol) Dinninger, William (Ann) Dinninger, and Ernie (Joan) Dinninger; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Jim) Stopjik; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several sisters- in-law and brothers-in-law.
