Obituary of Damian Villanueva

Damian “John” Villanueva passed away at home on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Born on February 8, 1937 to the late Esiquio and Michaela Elizondo Villanueva, he worked as a millwright for Consumers Power for many years and retired in 1997. John enjoyed fishing and being a handyman. He was a welder and a mechanic.

He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Sharon Villanueva. Also left to cherish his memory are his children, Tim (Joann) Villanueva and Aimee (Jay) Minard; stepsons, Mike Kafka, Brian (Hollie) Kafka and James (Sheri) Kafka; and his grandchildren, Sarah Villanueva-Wilson, Tim Villanueva, Mason Reed, Jacob Minard, Jessica Sexton, Allison Kafka, Hannah Kafka, Ian Kafka, and Cierra Kafka, Angel Kafka; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jackson Hynes.  John is also survived by his two remaining sisters, Rose Villanueva and Alice Villanueva. To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
