Obituary of Kathy Marie Licht

Kathy Marie Licht (Illikman), age 71, of Burt, Michigan passed away peacefully at HealthSource Saginaw on September 26, 2023. She was born in Saginaw on April 16,1952 to the late Albert and Patricia (Lintz) Illikman.  She attended Bridgeport High School and graduated in 1970.  Kathy remained close to many of her high school friends.  During her early school years, Kathy met Arthur Licht Jr. in the 5th grade at Hess Elementary in Spaulding Twp.  In high school, they started dating, and married on March 18,1972.  Over the last 51 years, the two were inseparable.  Kathy and Art settled in Burt where they raised two boys, Art (Gloria) Licht and Jeremy (Jodi) Licht.  Kathy loved being a mother but her favorite role was that as a grandparent to her seven grandchildren, Jeremy Licht Jr., Reese Licht, Hunter Licht, Carter Licht, Tyler Licht, Anthony Knight, and Ashton Knight. 

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Licht Jr., sister, Debbie (Lewis) Fuller; brother, Randy (Karen) Illikman; sister-in-law, Sondra Illikman; her children; and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Cindy Illikman; brother, Gary Illikman; sister, Shelly Robinson (Illikman); and brother-in-law, Byron Robinson.

A Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 AM, September 30, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson Rd., Bridgeport MI 48722, with Pastor Timothy Behnke officiating. The family will receive friends at church prior to the service, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
