Obituary of Janet Michelle Schrems McKim

Janet Schrems McKim of Thomas Township, the youngest daughter of Kathryn M (McPhee) and George C. Schrems passed away after a short illness at Covenant Healthcare on October 17, 2023.  Born July 25, 1965, Janet graduated from Swan Valley High School in 1983 where she was a member of the National Honor Society.  She went on to graduate from Delta College and worked a number of years at Dow Chemical.  Janet was a lover of kids, especially her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  She loved animals, casinos and having fun.

She is survived by her siblings, Dan (Linda), Jim, Mary, Joe (Annie), Eileen (Dave), Bill, Peggy (Mark), and Susie Heiges, as well as her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  Also her life long friends, Mary Wenzel and Nancee McCarthy.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law Jim Hincka, and nephew Scott Hincka. 

Janet’s family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Bernard Noveloso.

A graveside service will take place at St. Andrew Cemetery on November 11^th at 11:00 a.m.  Janet Fulgenzi, O.P. will officiate.  Following will be a celebration of Janet’s life at the family farm.
